But with so many amazing books out there, I've been both surprised and excited that mine has gotten so much attention. How does it feel having your debut novel receive such support among readers? If you're looking for something different, unique and romantic, check out this debut novel. The two guys were both smoking-hot, and I will definitely be placing the sequel on my TBR pile next year. I also loved all the characters, except her best friend. I loved how Kasie used paranormal abilities. When she's faced with the decision to stay with her mother on the Compound where the paranormals live or leave with her father, she looks into the future and sees two different possibilities and boys.Ī murder on the Compound shakes up Addison and makes her question her decisions. Imagine being a Searcher, someone who can look into the future and see the different outcomes. Pivot Point takes the YA love triangle to a new level. I think Emma Roberts makes the perfect Lena. And, yes, I'm thrilled with the cast so far. Lauren: Delirium is actually being turned into a TV show! They're casting for the pilot episode right now. It was more realistic, and a perfect ending for a dystopian series.
It feels realistic to me that there be some ambiguity that's how life is. Lauren: Ha, I'm not sure what you mean! I'm very proud of the ending. Jessie: OK, so I have to ask (without spoilers): Why did you end Requiem that way? How do you answer readers who have problems with it? Lena goes through so much to just survive, let alone live. All in all, this entire dystopian trilogy is fast, excellent and hard. It reminds readers that love is serious business, and love triangles aren't supposed to be about two guys in love with the same girl, but the deliria involved in it. In Requiem we get Lena and Hana's story and the ending to a dystopian trilogy we all want to go on.Īt the end readers are left wondering: Would a cure would be better? Are feelings that are so painful worth it? Lena must choose between Alex and Julian, but I liked that it was so painful to decide. In Pandemonium, Lena found love again, only to have fate throw a curve ball. In Delirium Lauren Oliver gave Lena love then took it away.
